Certification and validation of knowledge - AEMRN

The Qualifica Program is an adult qualification program aimed at improving the levels of education and training of adults, contributing to the improvement of the levels of qualification of the population and the improvement of the employability of the individuals. In this context, in the last 3 school years, the Moure and Ribeira do Neiva Schools Group fulfills its public service role of proximity to the adult population, certifying 65 adults with secondary education and 88 adults in modular English and Technology Information and Communication. How do we do it? We are an institution with history, experienced team and evidence given in Adult Education and Training. Here, the adult always has an opportunity to complete his school and professional career. Here we work in network and forward whenever necessary. Here we value what they already know, their professional experience, respect their learning rhythms, adapt them to their availability of time, allowing them to acquire useful knowledge. In addition to family applause and photographs, this ceremony represents countless individual achievements, struggles and challenges. Each of you had your individual journey and reason to obtain the certificate, the desire to deepen your knowledge and find more opportunities, perhaps, to serve as a model for others who have not yet risked. Everyone has experienced setbacks and obstacles, both personal and educational. I hope each of you has a tremendous sense of accomplishment. They were motivated, persevering, and merited. However, I would like to remind you again of the funding I mentioned a year ago, given that the financial support should be much larger than the funding. Citizens' lack of interest is the main obstacle to adult education in Portugal, as the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development says in a recent study, which recommends that new ways of financing training be created. The return to learning is not well observed and is not always clear, besides, in adulthood, education has to compete with family or work priorities. In the same study, it is mentioned that Portugal has since mid-2012 a rate of education and training of adults below the current average of the European Union of 10 percent. That is why, in this context, I can only be proud of each of the adults who have decided to be part of our "family," whose avidness of learning and recognition is the lever for "A new rhythm" for adult education. It is also a word of appreciation to our team of trainers that, in the different offerings in which we are involved, has been inextricable, in dedication, dedication and professionalism. I would like to conclude that, in the next academic year, our offer of Adult Education will include an EFA course - 12th year and Modular Formations of English and ICT. To all graduates, congratulations. Well done for your efforts!
